![]() Indeed it's pretty funny: it's 1972 and I'm selling a V10 BiTurbo with 379hp as an option in all bodytypes of cars: so there is a micro car, going 195 mph etc. So in my case, the "problem" is more the way I decide to play, than the way the game works. The thing I tend to run into is not that my advanced parts have too low stats / are all the same than the competition, but that I tend to try to save the money I spent on the parts when finally desiging the vehicles: so I often get good handling and performance and even reasonable fuel consumption, but my luxury vehicles aren't really luxurious, and my small cars still have ton's of performance, because they use the same motors as the big cars. (Money stops being an issue in the mid to late 1920s - at least at normal difficulty setting with just 25 AI+marques). While a part of me likes the whole "sliders" game / min-maxing stuff, another part of me just wants to enjoy the "flavor": I tend to use the neweset tech and try to produce vehicles with higher ratings than the AI, and still be competitive with prices, by mass-producing (one platform for all body-types) and shrinking my margins. Is there any chance of readjustments / rebalancing for 1.25 or so?Ī little off-topic / "after action report" I tried my hand at this a few months ago and found the changes in values to have almost no impact (difference in results if you set the component values for e.g. I have the savegame at hand, if this helps.Īll components are unmodded. ![]() At 1300kgs for a Sedan, the Unibody should be around 15% or so lighter and have an advantage of around 10 points versus the backbone. Most of this is somehow reflected, but the magnitude is "all wrong". Backbone is saomething in between, but very unsafe, albeit reliable. ![]() This is reflected, but in a very weak way. Ladder frames should be heavy and rugged, good for towing and very dependable due to the ease of maintenance and changing parts. I suspected: Unibody is safe, very light (!), cheap and easy to produce. This makes switching to another, more modern chassis type meaningless. The ladder frame is cheapest throughout and the easiest to produce, culminating in an average of 2% higher production and 2% more output compared to the other types except for the useless Superleggera type. Towing is exactly the same for all vehicles. Production output: Between 1010 for the Superleggera and 1038 for the Ladder Frame car per month with the standard factory. Costs: A difference of about 30$ at 13xx$ per vehicle, thus less than 3% difference. Dependability differences are 47 to 50 (Superleggera vs. Performance differences are marginal, Unibody performs on par with Superleggera (though the lateral Gs for the latter are 1.18 vs. Safety: Ladder, Perimeter, Backbone are all safer than Unibody (36, 35 vs. Weight differences: 1330kgs (Perimeter, Ladder), 1329kgs (Unibody, Backbone), 1327kgs (Superleggera). Suspension: Double Wishbone front, MacPherson rear. Chassis design: all sliders to standard, then each chassis type once. paired with a 5-speed manual, all sliders as standard Example engine is a 4.5L V8 (169hp, 260nm, OHV), rev and torque to 60, all other sliders as standard I always suspected that the impact of chassis designs on the overall vehicle is marginal to non-existent. ![]() If your monitor can support that resolution, the game will launch with this custom resolution, otherwise it will reset to a default resolution. So I just ran a test. If you want a custom resolution, enter the value in the two text boxes labeled “Width” and “Height”. The listed resolutions are the supported resolutions is provided by your graphics driver. If you set the game to 1080p resolution, the game will only display 1040 pixles, and you will have the small reports window. For example, Windows 10 uses 40 pixels for the Task and Title bars. Please note, if you are running in Windowed mode, your desktop environment, such as the task bar, window title bar, etc may decrease the size of the window below what you set it. If you want large Reports, Magazine, and Newspaper windows, please selected a vertical resolution above 1050px. ![]() If the text appears too small, you can use Scale GUI to increase it. The higher these numbers are, the smaller objects will appear in the game. Video Resolution ⇒ Resolution ⇒ This setting is number of pixels the game uses. ![]()
